Socially awkward and unintentionally funny!

I've always been a passionate reader and writer, and have won several scholastic awards for my fiction writing from 8th to 12th grade.

I was lucky enough to grow up in a home with a parent that supported and encouraged reading and my imagination. I grew up writing and falling into faraway dreams captured in my notebooks. Reading and writing were my escapes from feeling alone and opened the world to a queer kid stuck in rural Nebraska.

I fell out of writing while in college it wasn't until my father's death in 2007 that I started writing again. With my father's death, I started writing to deal with my emotions and fully start to understand the loss of a parent. I'm still working on the novel I started over 15 years ago due to his death.

Writing has allowed me to explore and express my gender and sexual orientation journey. One that I hope to continue to explore and share with readers through my characters and the stories that they tell.

I want to use my writing as a launching point to build a community around queer issues and identities. I hope it will fill a gap in the industry for people to realize their sexuality and gender later in life and that it gives them hope that they can find love even as they figure out who they are.
